Miguel Migs’ Those Things arrives just in time for summer. The fist track, So Far (Featuring LT) is a smooth house cut that sets the tone for the rest of the CD. LT’s vocals are pleasant and compliment the subtle, sexy beats laid down by Migs. Migs relies heavily on the vocal sophistication of his female vocals, especially in Lisa Shaw. This perennial house singer delivers her signature style of singing that is both invigorating and relaxing at the same time. The entire CD does just this; it keeps you moving and grooving yet sets the tone for a relaxing evening.

“Fire” sees Junior Reed adding a Bob Marleyesque flair to CD. Occurring nearly at the exact middle of the collection, this song reminds us what Miguel Migs has intended for this CD all along. It is a groovy, summer collection suited for chill late night parties and it is just dancey enough to keep you tapping your foot, but without dominating the soundscape of your evening. This is a style that OM has perfected over the past few years. With an OM CD, you can count on the perfect mix of house, soul and beats.

Those Things is the ideal CD soundtrack to warm nights by the ocean, cocktail parties on a rooftop deck, or even to a great bottle of wine. Sit back, pour a drink and drift away with the latest form Miguel Migs. This disc is perhaps one of the best offering from OM in a while. After a fairly disappointing Miami 07 and bland Winter Sessions, it was wonderful to hear such a hands down sexy collection of tracks.

Our darling vocalist LT reappears to close the CD by “Giving It All.” She asks, “are you ready to love somebody?” And after listening to this CD (and have a few drinks), you will be!
